Optical effects at every step
How will it work in the classroom?
The content of the learning path designed on the 10 lessons on optical effects.
The first lesson using the tool Prezi teacher submit a plan of study of the topic.
With the help of video from YouTube teacher presentation first topic. He invites pupils to find these videos in the YouTube and describe the physical aspects of the appearance of shadows.
Before that, the teacher explains to children how to safely use a Youtube search for necessary material (http://internet-safety.yoursphere.com/2011/10/how-to-set-up-safety-mode-on-youtube/)
This is followed by a discussion in the class, which focuses on the clarity of boundaries of shadows and its intensity.
At the end of the teacher summarizes the discussion explanation of light.
The next lesson is dedicated to the study of the laws of reflection of light. To do this at the beginning of the lesson, the teacher uses the program Google maps - street view.
The teacher shows the students a few images of drawing their attention to optical effects.
And pupils use to look images and fotos in Google map- street view.
In the next lesson, pupils perform the project for a given teacher taskin cooperation with each other. The project is in the Prezi. Pupils in the speech to the class must follow the rules of competent speech and presentation of information
How does the Learning Path link to curricula and subject plans?
The components of the LP correspond to the elements of the program object

First lesson:
What can Shadow theater teach us about physics?
The teacher will ask the students the questions that people can view them hone their physical, such as
"Is the real height of the players really different? If not - how different shadows that?"
After students explain this intuitive level, the teacher will sharpen the theory and explain the first idea of geometric optics (the idea, that the light will expla )
Students seek additional shadow clips in the Youtube identify other characteristics of shadows.
The teacher will encourage the students, if necessary, to pay attention to the color and sharpness of the shadow.
At the end of the lesson the students would draw the diagrams that explain the phenomena.
Second lesson:
The teacher will introduce to students street viewer program and display multiple images (by student requests).
We brought three images for example (from Spain, Russia and Israel). students discuss the questions:
What part of the day the picture was taken? What was the weather that day? And haw we can know that.
Then the teacher will show an Another picture - of Paris.
This image is special, because what looks at first glance like a shadow, really – an image. The discussion will lead to understanding of need to learn more about image in the mirrow
Third lesson
Students will be invited to view photos of their choice and identify pictures optical phenomena. Record the phenomena they identify, sort them into three groups.
The first group of students recorded phenomena they have been able to explain the scientific language - eye shadow and mirror images.
The second group - phenomena that students think they can explain the intuitive level
Students will choose two side in the first group and explain them, using the tools that they build geometric optics diagrams.
