About the Learning Path
Learning path by Maria, Pablo and Djordje
The concept is exemplified using the book "The Bridge Over the Drina" by Ivo Andrić. At the end it will be a list with other possible books thast can be used in this manner.
Students are going to read a book. The classroom will be split in 5 groups. Every group will explore different areas: Literature, History, Geography, Arts, and Science.
Target group: Secondary (12-13 years old) - 25 students per classroom.
Ideas behind the potential use of the learning path
To use a book from the compulsory literature and link the content with the objectives from another subjects.
The proposed teaching methodology
- Individual work: Reading the book.
- Make the mind map of the book and see the links.
- Organize the group: collaboration/communication rules; final product – tools…
- Final presentation

They need to assesss the informnation and find the relevant one. They need to collaborate in order to finalize the project. They need to be able to use the technology efficiently in order to make, share and present the project. They will develop leadership and self-assessment skills in order to finish the project in time. The critical thinking and communication skills will be developed during the project and also during the presentations. Civic responsability, cross-cultural awarenes will be achieved through the themes of the projects.
